About us

We are a small, family run business based out of Sheldon, Vermont. Rick Sr. has been in the business of maple sugaring for approximately 36 years. He was first introduced to sugaring by his grandfather. At the age of 12 years old he was running a sugaring operation with the assistance of his uncle. By 15 years old Rick Sr. had built a small shed, tapped around 20 buckets, and had begun sugaring on his own. In 1993 Rick Sr. was able to build a real modern sugar house and the business only grew from there. From within the sugar house to out in the woods, the business is only possible and successful with the help and hard work of multiple family members.
